Description

The Thor Drysuit is engineered for durability, flexibility, and protection in the harshest environments. Designed for commercial, military, and rescue diving, it's built from a vulcanised polymer blend of high-grade rubber and EPDM.

Rugged Construction
  • Manufactured from a vulcanised laminated polymer for superior strength and resistance.
  • Backed by a 4-way stretch polyester lining for flexibility and long-term durability.
  • Independently tested at the Austin Institute (Texas, USA).
  • CE approved and fully compliant with the latest EEC PPE directives for drysuits.
  • Built under BS EN ISO 9001:2008 quality standards.
Chemical Resistance
The Thor drysuit is built to perform in extreme and hazardous environments. It has been rigorously tested for chemical permeation resistance under worst-case conditions—exposed to 100% chemical concentration for the full duration of the test.
  • Permeation testing duration: up to 480 minutes (8 hours)
  • Results showing ">480 minutes" mean no detectable permeation above 0.1 mg/min/cm² during the entire test
  • Both actual and normalized breakthrough times are measured based on strict chemical detection thresholds
Note: Full chemical test reports are available upon request.
Diving in Contaminated or Hazardous Environments
The Thor drysuit is specifically designed for diving in polluted, contaminated, or otherwise abnormal environments. It should be considered a critical part of your safety equipment when operating in these conditions.
  • For professional divers only – proper training and certification are essential
  • A full risk assessment and safety plan must be completed before diving
  • Special attention should be given to the selection of accessories and decontamination procedures
Decontamination
After exposure to contaminants, thorough decontamination of the drysuit is mandatory.
  • All chemical residues must be completely removed before storage or reuse
  • Follow best practices and local safety protocols for decontamination procedures
Summary of Chemical Permeation Testing:
Permeation Time - Time taken for a chemical to permeate the suit. Test duration: up to 480 minutes.

Actual Breakthrough | First detection of chemical permeation at the minimum detectable limit.
Normalised Breakthrough | When permeation reaches 0.1 mg/min/cm² (per ASTM F739 standards).

Minimal Detectable Rate - Lowest permeation rate the testing system can detect.
Steady State Permeation - Constant rate of permeation after initial breakthrough under continuous exposure.
