Specialist Rescue Equipment put to the Test at 2026 European Water Rescue Conference in Cardiff
The team recently returned from the 2026 European Water Rescue Conference in Cardiff, where our latest developments in specialist rescue equipment were showcased to an audience of international water rescue and emergency response professionals.
Throughout the event, industry practitioners had the opportunity to use our specialist rescue equipment in live in-water demonstrations. Designed for use in hazardous environments, swift water and emergency response, the equipment was tested under realistic operational conditions, allowing responders to assess performance, usability, and deployment in active rescue scenarios.
A key highlight of the conference was a dedicated session exploring the effects of PTSD on first responders. The discussion brought together operational personnel, clinicians, and rescue specialists to examine the long-term psychological impact of high-stress incidents and the importance of ongoing mental health support within the emergency services community. Alongside these important discussions, the conference provided an valuable platform for collaboration, learning, and innovation.
Our team engaged with rescue professionals from across Europe, gathering direct feedback on equipment performance and sharing insights into ongoing product development. Live water demonstrations of our rescue drysuits, inflatable sleds, ppe and throw bags attracted strong interest throughout the event, with experienced users testing its application in scenarios designed to reflect real-world rescue challenges. These sessions provided meaningful opportunities to refine understanding of operational requirements and further strengthen the link between equipment design and frontline use.
Speaking from the event, the team highlighted the value of direct engagement with end users:
“Being able to see our equipment used in real conditions by experienced professionals is essential. It not only validates design decisions but also drives future development to better support those working in demanding rescue environments.”
The 2026 European Water Rescue Conference proved to be an important meeting point for the global rescue community, combining technical demonstrations, operational insight, and critical discussions around responder wellbeing. We look forward to continuing conversations with partners and professionals met at the event, and to building on the feedback gathered throughout the week as development of our rescue solutions continue.
